Hey All,
Good hard-fought battle on Saturday, Ladies! Also, thank you for the
continued support on the pitch.
Not to take away from the hard work put forth, I would like to mention one
thing - a reminder of the contract that we all signed with Captain Julia.
We all understand the importance of hosting our opponents and
howsignificant the post-bonding experience is to the game of rugby
itself. As
equally important is accepting our host's invitation.
I realize that we had a lot of circumstances not in our favor on Saturday:
we were cold and wet, it was a late game, the clubhouse was not at the
field. However, I would think that we should have turned out more than
three players to hosting. Not for lack of trying, it was the lamest boat
race I have ever witnessed. I am a perfect example of someone who cannot
commit 100% of the time, but the times that I do, I am 100% committed.
Attending hosting falls under many categories in the agreement: respect for
your opponent, respect for the sport of rugby, respect for your teammates,
respect for your club. Please remember the contract in every decision you
make.
I am ridiculously proud to be a member of the BLRC and hate feeling
anything less.
As always, bleeding blue and white,
Sue
