Hi all

Attached here is a good short article commenting on ideas to stay injury-free, and get back into sport again following rehab in the case you didn't avoid injury.  It's written by Dan Schneider from a Powerlifting perspective, but the information is relevant for rugby.  

The most salient theme I agree with is that most athletes who're getting injured have either muscle imbalance/protection in the first place, or are just not prepared well enough physically for what they face in competition.  It follows that most injuries are avoidable through physical training.  Unknown circumstances will always exist, but there's also a good argument to be made that effective physical preparation will reduce severity of injury due to entering contact in vulnerable body positions, and certainly that will contribute to entering contact in safer positions in the first place.
