The Premiers defeated James Bay Athletic Association, a team above them in the standings, 25-17 (3 tries to 3). Chris Arnold, Pat Riordan and Ryan Neufeld all crossed the line for major scores. Jeff Lloyd kicked two conversions and one penalty goal, while Richie Kanazawa kicked one drop goal.
Premier Women lost 12-17 to Capilano at their field, handing the Women their first true loss on the field this season, having lost the first game of the season by default. BC centres Sabrina Celms and Karyne Steele scored individual tries. BC Under-21 scrum-half Julia Sugawara kicked the only conversion.
Firsts beat Pocomo 26-10 at home with five-pointers coming from Mike Wong, Matt Nugent amd Erik Lynum. Tony Hunt proved to be his reliable self kicking three penalty goals and one conversion.
Seconds had a bye.
Thirds beat Pocomo 15-8 at home with single tries from Rany King, Mike Stewart and Justin Denman.
Junior “A” beat Pocomo away 29-12 with Milos Milic, Stevan Gavrilovic, Matt Wong, Rainiel de Guzman and Andrew Lackner. Alex Clulow kicked two conversions.
On Sunday, Under-16 Men lost 19-29 to Langley out in the Valley. Brandon McArthur scored most of the points for the visitors, two tries and two conversions. Mauro Perizzolo scored the only other try.
