IT’S BACK! THE ANNUAL BLRC GOLF TOURNAMENT!!!
THE INFO:
DATE – Saturday, June 18th, 2005
PLACE – Golden Eagle Golf Course (21770 Ladner Road, Pitt Meadows)
TIME – 8:00am Shotgun start (be there by 7:30am)
EVENT – Social and Competitive Texas Scramble Tournament followed by an afternoon BBQ at the course
COST – $100 per player (includes green fee, BBQ, guaranteed prize, breakfast snack, shooter bar, and chance at $10,000 hole-in-one)
TO REGISTER:
Either:
a. Reply to this e-mail OR
b. See/call Bill Meechan (604 931 6936) or Wayne Ferguson (604 298 4432) or leave a message with Doug Whiddon at the Burnaby Lake Clubhous (604-294-4144)
Include: – names of all members of your foursome (or however many players you have)
– BBQ orders for group (hamburger, chicken burger, or veggie burger – one each)
– Please call and book power carts for your group direct with Golden Eagle (604 460 1111) (and explain it is for the Burnaby Lake Rugby Club Golf Tournement)
*PAYMENT IS NOT REQUIRED TO REGISTER, HOWEVER, THE DEADLINE FOR HAVING PAYMENT IN IS MAY 28TH. WE ARE ANTICIPATING A SELL-OUT, AND
IF YOUR GROUP IS NOT PAID IN FULL BY THIS DATE, WE WILL LOOK TO FIND A REPLACEMENT GROUP FROM A WAITING LIST.
SPONSORSHIP:
The cost to become an official tournament sponsor is $100. This includes:
– signage on one hole of the course
– opportunity to display/promote your business on this hole if you choose
– opportunity for a hand-out with all tournament materials if you choose
– sponsorship/advertising receipt
– guaranteed foursome entry into next year’s tournament (in case of a sell-out)
*Please note with your registration if you are interested in becoming a sponsor.
PRIZING:The BLRC will supply a prize to every player in the tournament. If you are able to donate a single prize item, or a group of four items, it would be much appreciated. A prize letter is attached for submission to potential sponsors.
*Please register your group A.S.A.P. to avoid missing out! Also, please forward this e-mail to any golfers you feel may be interested.

This year Bill and Wayne have volunteered to run this event (we would like to thank to Jamie and Doug for all their hard work organising past tounrments (which were great) and very well run). There advice to us was to try and get organized early in terms of players, player groups and sponsors. Could you help us out (and prevent me going any balder than I already am – by registering early).
