Two little things,
First, People (Fizzle, Panda and Co.) have been wondering about playing touch on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We will start touch early at 6:30. So non 7s members have a nice long 45 minute “ssesshh”. At 7:15 formal 7s practice starts. Those who wish to join the practices are welcome, but there is no obligation to join the practice.
Secondly, this past weekend the men’s elite (the Sidesteps) and development (the Sideparts) sides played in the Flatliners’ 7s tournament. There was only one division with two pools. Both teams reached the semi-finals on opposite sides of the bracket and an all Burnaby Final was anticipated. The Sideparts’ run fell one game short of the finals however as they went down 3 tries to one against the Ambassadors. The Sidesteps defeated the Ambassadors convincingly in the final.
