This past Saturday the only two teams in action were the men’s first and second divisions.
The two teams were down at Jericho beach facing off against the UBC Old Boys. In the second division game Brunaby came out strong and were in control much of the time. The first half was all Burnaby, with strong play coming from both the backs and forwards. The first twently minutes of the second half was a different story, bad penalties and poor play allowed the home side to take control. Burnaby regained their composure and finished the game on a strong note, handily winning the match.
The first division game was a close one. A final score of 15-10 for the Old Boys gave the Burnaby Lake squad the bonus point they needed to ensure a position in the Spring Premier League.
