Yesterday saw the beginning of the CDI Premier League, with Abbotsford coming to Burnaby with two teams.
Although the fields have seen a lot of rain lately we were still able to manage two games. The First Division team won 35 – 20 (might not be exact), scoring seven unconverted tries. These were scored by Reid Kirkham, Mike Wong, Mark Spencer, John Decaire, Steve Scott, Dan Roberts, and Mark Lavery. Next the action changed over to the main field for the Premier matchup. This game was much closer ending 16 – 3. Pat Riordan went over the line fore the game’s only major while Craig Stewart converted and hit two penalties and Alec Douglas hit a drop goal to round out the scoring.
