Dawn breaks under turbulent skies as the steely eyed men and women of the BLRC prepare to do battle with island foes. The haunting wail of pipes lends voice to the clamor of steely studs charging through the tunnel and onto the field of glory. Those chosen to take to the pitch are never alone- rather flanked by supporters clad in blue and white…and an end zone full of Adanacs. Shouting until hoarse as the brave strive for victory on the day.
What I’ve just described was not the historic battle of Stirling where Simon’s ginger great great great grandfather was vanquished at the hands of brave Scots. ( surely led by names like Fisher, Breadon, Martin). Rather it was every home fixture we had this season. Where we enjoyed a world champion piper and an endzone full of our brothers in sport. The Coquitlam Adanacs Lacrosse team.
Doc hedges contributes immeasurably to our club in his services and now his beloved Adanacs contribute mightily in support!
Our chance to repay this debt is July 5 at 7 pm The Adanacs will be hosting Victoria on blue and white night. Where every man woman an child in BLRC kit gets in free!
To celebrate we are having a Bbq at VP Fisher’s house 4pm. Where parking is free and the game is walking distance. The Adanacs are looking forward to the BLRC choir!
