BLRC went into the weekend coming off a 3 game sweep of rivals Bayside and were looking to continue our winning ways. Unfortunately UBC had different ideas and managed to defeat us in first and second division games. In the premier league Burnaby showed that the fitness work we have done in the past month has paid off with a well deseved win against UVIC, a team that has always had fitness on their side against more experienced opponents. The biggest win over the weekend was that of the women’s team. They defeated Douglas, a team that has only lost two games since 2000. Next weekend sees the Premier side off to the island to face the defending champs Oak Bay, the First and Seconds in Seattle and the Womens team will be up on Burnaby Mountain facing SFU.
