Sorry for the delay in getting out this latest update to you. Thre results from the weekend pretty much followed the trend of the last month:
In Premier action we lost to UVIC on the Island 38-12 due to poor defense and waiting too long to start playing decent offense. Colin Mackenzie scored our a try and we also recieved a penalty try, which was converted y Kory Kowaguchi.
The First’s lost to first place UBC Varsity 50-13.
Second’s postponed their game against the UBC team.
Third’s lost their game against UCC from Kamloops 27-3.
Burnaby’s Women’s team avenged an loss earlier in the season at the hands of the Capilanos by defeating them 22-0, continuing their winning ways.
Another successful team was the Burnaby Boys U-18 A with a close first round playoff win against the Rowers 12 – 7.
The Junior girls teams both played on Sunday with the Junior Girls 1 losing to Pocomo 30 – 12, and the Junior Girs 2 losing a game to Surrey 22-15.
Also on Sunday was the Boys U-16 game against Surrey in which the Burnaby team handled their opponents easily with a 40 – 0 win.
